  Went on a dinner date and we got the platter for two.It was so filling we couldn't finish.The food was so delicious especially the meaty options. They have a wide range of drinks from juices to cocktails.I had the mango juice which was good. I need to try out another dish on their menu...this one was 10/10😍

  After waiting for a full hour for loaded fries, I am given a serving of dry fries with countable chicken pieces, no cheese in site. No flavour. Dry food. I am utterly disappointed. I was at this place 2 years ago and things were run smoothly, particularly the food. For 1200 the food served is laughable to say the least. Never visiting again.

  Wueeh......I don't know where to start. The food and drinks are so underwhelming....you can see the owner of the establishment has really invested in the property but thats where everything ends. Food-not fresh,not hot and you will have to wait and make numerous calls to enquire if its ready. Drinks....Try order the 'Dawa' and this will summarize the level of disappointment. The customer service is demanding....none existent and poor at best.Training and sensitization of the staff is recommended. All in all.after spending more than 10k for a Dine-in Experience......i will not come back or recommend anyone to Smoky's Restaurant & Bar.

  Visiting Smoky's on a random weekday for lunch initially was a welcome idea, especially the last time I visited the food was amazing, the service was thoughtful and immediate. But that was in 2023, and now in 2025 the experience was less than desirable. The service was the first letdown. The day staff looked like a trainee with zero customer awareness. It might have been a slow shift, but having to get up and call them over twice just to get served is inexcusable. If you run a restaurant, sit where you can actually see customers walk in. Not once did they bother to check * 1 star for that alone. Then came the food situation. At lunch, no beef was available. Only burgers, chicken, and pork. I get that beef takes time to slow-grill and smoke, but how do you not have your signature dish ready at lunchtime? Even normal beef? And the way the waiter casually mentioned it with no attempt to explain and combative about was almost worse than the missing beef. To be fair, the chicken wings were tasty. But the side of chips was laughably small, barely enough for an adult. Smoky’s Ruiru was once a place I’d recommend without hesitation. If I come back, I hope they will sorted out the basics: attentive service, proper communication, and food that matches the name on the door. Right now, it feels like a shadow of the 2023 version.

  Walked in on a Saturday evening and it was packed. However, another table was quickly brought and I give them a thumbs up for that. I would recommend you to make a reservation especially for a dinner date or a group dining.(Also in order to get the best places) The interior decor and ambience is very nice. The service by the staff is excellent. The meals were excellent. I definitely recommend the cocktails too. On this day buy 2 get an extra one free.(You can choose a variety for the cocktails, including the free one) The music playlist was however boring and very repetitive. However the vibes, service and everything else surpasses this.
