  Amazing waterfront location with a very relaxed atmosphere. The open layout looks fantastic in 360° and really captures the unique vibe of the place. Great food, beautiful creek views, and the service by Frank and his Salty team is simply unbeatable. Highly recommended!

  An innovative and memorable experience, especially for sundowners, set in a floating restaurant right on the creek. The venue is better known for its cocktails and small bites rather than a full, extensive menu. They also emphasize working closely with local fishermen and farmers, which means the ingredients are freshly sourced while supporting the local community — a definite plus. We ordered the creek oysters and the smashed cucumber salad to balance out the cocktails, and both were light, fresh, and well done. As it was our last night in Kilifi, we made it a point to sample several cocktails: the Chilli Pineapple Margarita, Clarified Piña Colada, The Local, and the Mezcal Sour. The clear standout for me was the Mezcal Sour �� a beautifully balanced mix of mezcal, Aperol, and triple sec. As for the setting, service, and ambience — absolutely chilled and effortlessly cool. Watching the sunset from the water made the experience truly special and not one to be missed if you’re ever in Kilifi. Tip: The restaurant operates its own small boats to ferry guests across, but they don’t run at regular intervals. It’s best to call ahead to coordinate, otherwise you’ll need to hire a local boatman.

  This restaurant is ideal for its location and the experience and ambience that comes with having to take a boat to travel to this remote venue, in the middle of kilifi creek, to get a chance to eat a meal and possibly stay till sundown. That is the highlight of this venue in Kilifi. Food- We had two vegetarians and two meat eaters. The meat is all fresh seafood and it was lovely and very well prepared. We had the thai ginger crab claws- would definitely recommend, and the curry is divine so be sure to ask for sourdough bread or rice to be able to eat it up. As well as the crab toast- flavoursome and if you are seeking a lighter meal. For the vegetarian selection- the mushroom wantons were definitely the high light. The mako eggs were not something we would ordered again. We understand and appreciate the Japanese fusion consideration but it was not that appealing. The biggest disappointment was the lemon tart for desert. Given the remoteness and the flavoursome meal you get, this was underwhelming to say the least, and maybe a coconut sorbet or something refreshing would have paired well with this. Where the boat, and lack of water in the taps outside the bathroom, or a wash basin to wash your hands or even the lack of consideration of finger bowls after eating were what made me score this resturant lower. The attentive kind staff- esp Pauline compensated for it. Always smiling. And trying to keep your spirits up. She is an asset to this establishment

  Dining at this floating restaurant was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we l stepped onto the boat everything felt special — the gentle sway of the water beneath ,the open sea breeze, and the stunning panoramic views of the ocean created a peaceful and unique atmosphere you simply can’t get on land. The setting alone is enough to make you fall in love with the place. Whether you’re visiting during the day with clear blue skies or in the evening with the sun setting over the water, the views are absolutely breathtaking. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you can just relax, unwind, and enjoy the moment. The food did not disappoint either. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could really taste the quality in the ingredients — especially the seafood!The menu had a good range of options without feeling overwhelming, and everything came out at the perfect temperature and timing. Drinks were just as impressive. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knew just when to check in without interrupting the experience. One of the best parts? It was absolutely worth the price. For a floating restaurant with such an incredible oceanfront setting, I was expecting the bill to be much higher — but the pricing was surprisingly fair. It felt like I was paying for a luxury experience without the usual luxury price tag. All in all, this place is a gem. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with friends, or celebrating something special, it’s the kind of restaurant that leaves a lasting impression. I’d go back in a heartbeat — and next time, I’ll make sure to stay a little longer just to soak it all in.
