    This place is very hard to rate. Went there 3 times. First time was the best experience ever with friendly barman knowledgeable waiter and very well done drinks and tasty food. I arrived a bit before 08h00 but was told about happy hour from 5 to 8 at 08h19 without possibility to benefit from it. Oh well. Second time the 2 well trained guys were not there and no happy hour no friendly service from a lady and no cold glass for my beer and after food no more service. Girl disappeared and had to see the barman to pay and it took so long to have my change back my taxi had arrived already. 3rd time was a disaster because barman told me he did not have ingredients to do a Roan Long Island.... it was 6pm. Waiter smelled alcohol and had no knowledge of the menu. Offered few alternatives. Got food poisoning from the Matumbo. The friendly waiter Javan tried to save the day by offering proper alternatives but the initial waiter did not understand anything and was sitting down next to me because he could not explain the difference between the 3 chicken dishes : no choma. Boiled or wet fry or dry ... sigh. He was confused and overcharged me and when after a long discussion he realized his mistake he made other mistakes in calculations by giving back wrong change. He had difficulties doing simple maths... terrible experience. Asked sauce from kitchen got nothing even I was ready to pay extra. I would not recommend because hopefully the better trained one (JAVAN) will find better opportunities.

    Beautiful view of Lake Victoria, favourably priced meals and drinks. The Roan sea food pizza is a superb snack/meal. Soon moving to the former railway station in Kisumu.

    The experience was good. I hosted a networking session early in the evening. There was no music until 9:30PM. This is a smoking area.

    I absolutely love the nyama platters... The food in this place is amazing!!! The ambience is good, staff are eloquent and services are top notch
