  Possibly the best seafood in Watamu. Brilliant service and the management was very accommodating. I highly recommend it but make sure you reserve a table.

  The atmosphere is great and the space is ideal for a beach party. The crowd is lively, but be cautious of the local beach boys. I attended the Saturday party. Drink options were quite limited, and bottled liquor is extremely overpriced. The venue also gets very crowded, so expect slow service throughout the night. It’s advisable to try reserving a spot in advance though securing one doesn’t seem guaranteed. Unfortunately, the DJ was a major letdown. The music lacked flow, transitions were poorly executed, and the overall selection felt unfocused seemingly more aimed at pleasing foreigners than delivering a solid set. The sound was often out of tune, which ultimately made the music disappointing.

  If yoi like permanent entertainment from at least 5 guys, loud discussions about who is getting the job and three guys to follow you into the water every time - then that is your place. Location staff is okish but compared to other locations around more or less average. Made better experiences around. Left early on Friday due to permanent stalking from beach sellers even the locations own Massai guard could hardly deal with. Location cool. Unfortunately young locals and sugar daddies ruin it

  My team and I were lucky to be in Watamu on the same weekend when the Papa Remo Beach Party was happening. The atmosphere was amazing – great vibes, good music, and refreshing drinks. The only downside: service at the bar was a bit slow. At times, we had to wait up to 15 minutes just to get a drink. With a simple briefing for the staff, this could easily be improved. Still, nothing to complain about overall – Papa Remo remains one of the best beach locations with excellent music and a fantastic party mood. Just keep in mind, the beach party does not take place every weekend. Best to check the Papa Remo website for upcoming events.

  A lovely location to enjoy some good food. The service was friendly and very quick. We had the passion fruit ceviche- it was well presented- it however didn’t pack a punch of flavour as I thought it would. The seafood platter was generous and definitely needed 2 people to do it justice. All pieces of seafood were perfectly good - including the octopus which wasn’t rubbery- and the seafood was well seasoned. This was an enjoyable dish. Wrapped up the meal with the chocolate mousse. A generous portion but could use a stronger chocolate flavour. The location is lovely. We went on a Friday evening so it was quiet. We were told the parties the location is popular for was the next day ☺️.
