  A Frustrating and Unsafe Dining Experience. Leo away. My experience at Matteo's in Naivasha was a series of failures from start to finish. We weren't even acknowledged upon arrival—the service was nonexistent until we practically had to hunt someone down. The issues moved from the service to the table itself; the menus were disgusting to the touch, covered in a sticky residue. When our order arrived, the lamb was served in broken crockery. Beyond the physical danger of the plate, there is a serious lack of allergen disclosure here. The meat was heavily marinated in ingredients not listed on the menu. the staff seemed completely unaware of the ingredients when asked about allergens. For a place charging premium prices, the lack of basic food safety knowledge and cleanliness is unacceptable. stay away.

  Today, my partner and I decided to try out Matteo's after hearing so much about their meals , especially the pizza. Having sampled many restaurants in Naivasha, we didn’t want to rely on stories alone, so we gave it a firsthand try. Our experience was amazing. Special thanks to Nellius Njeri, who served us warmly from the moment we walked in until our late dinner before leaving. We will definitely be back.

  Unfortunately customer service was really poor, We stayed there one night we were promised internet but got no internet, the shower drain runs the opposite direction so you stand in a pool of dirty water, be very careful with restaurant prices they are extortionate and the food served are small portions. The breakfast is served by you ticking an option on a piece of paper and unfortunately that also the chef got it wrong. Kindly be careful while visiting this place.

  A beautiful compound houses this quiet place, the service was excellent I had lasagna with a nice red wine recommended by the waiter. I didn’t realize there is also a hotel in the compound that you can stay. It is very safe and nicely decorated with a great bar selection.
