  I was there with my wife and 4 kids. We originally planned to stay for two nights, but unfortunately we had to checkout after spending the 1st night due to the poor condition of the rooms. The hotel is in serious need of renovation. We booked two rooms, and one of them had a strong, unpleasant odor that the staff could not identify or resolve. The food quality was decent, but the options were very limited. For instance, when I requested a salad at breakfast, I was told that salads are not offered during that meal. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and genuinely tried to accommodate us, but the room conditions made it impossible to stay beyond one night. Based on the state of the rooms and bathrooms, I would classify this as a 2-star hotel. We spent Christmas Eve there, but there were no special celebrations or arrangements, which was disappointing. What concerned me most was the management’s attitude. Despite raising our concerns, they refused to acknowledge the issues and declined to refund the second night we did not use. It seems the management is in denial about the hotel’s problems, which makes it difficult to recommend this property.

  A stunning resort just outside Masai Mara. Views for sunset are breathtaking and service staff exceptional. A special mention to Pauline from reception and Simon from restaurant. Food is ok but if you ask they will cater for requirements. Only feedback I have is that not having drinking water in restaurant for breakfast or dinner and charging $3 for a small bottle was water is silly and missing basics for such a nice stay.

  A lovely boutique hotel which is about 30 mins drive from the gate to Masai Mara park. The tents are clean and comfy. The staff are attentive and service is great. The food was average but still tasty. They have a beautiful fire pit where you can watch the sunset. The only complaint we had was that it is a bit far away from the gate but overall we would definitely recommend.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Stay at Zebra Plains – The Perfect Safari Retreat! Our stay at Zebra Plains Maasai Mara was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly made us feel at home in the heart of the wild. Susan and her team turned the place into a second home for us. The location is unbeatable, set right within the Maasai Mara, offering breathtaking views, easy access to incredible game drives, and the sounds of nature all around. Waking up to the sight of grazing wildlife just outside our tent was magical. The staff were exceptional, friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make our experience special, from the front desk to the dining team and our amazing guide Julius. Daniel is an amazing chef, the food was halal, outstanding, fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every meal felt like a celebration, whether it was a bush breakfast, sundowner snacks, or dinner under the stars. Zebra Plains isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience that captures the true spirit of the Maasai Mara. We left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and a deep desire to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and heartwarming safari adventure.

  The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious with a good variety to choose from. The location is absolutely stunning – while dining, you can even spot buffalo and other wildlife in the distance. There was a mosquito net provided over the bed, although the fan is positioned outside the net, which might be a bit inconvenient. The room includes a small safe, but the room itself cannot be locked from the outside. The pool area is beautiful, offering an amazing view, and there are plenty of comfortable seating options around to relax. The beds were cozy, and the in-room Wi-Fi worked fine during our stay.
