  Decent place and great food. But I had to reserve 2 stars as they've forgotten to prepare the room which was a mess. Even 3 star motel don't make such mistake. And worse, the staff wanted to place back the dirty sheet from prev guest back on the bed when I told him to bring fresh ones. Other than that, it was a good place and atmosphere. Expect hearing weird animal noises at late night and surprise visitors (bushbuck) but they're harmless.

  Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms/tents are well equipped and comfortable. Staff are friendly and attentive to all our needs. There are also many wildlife present at the resort. Special shout out to Mathias for taking the extra effort to make the stay memorable for my son. Also, would like to acknowledge the kitchen crew who were attentive to all our needs. Our only wish would be for the swimming pool to be heated.

  Our first visit to Kenya and after 2 nights at the Sarova Panafric Nairobi we spent 3 magical nights at the Sarova Mara Camp Again a wonderful warm welcome by all at reception we stayed in the fabulous luxury tents ours had a view over the lake and was absolutely beautiful all set in lush gardens with many small animals and beautiful birds. A beautiful pool to relax in yet so much to see. The service everywhere as with the Panafric was excellent everyone so friendly courteous and helpful. Food at the restaurant was again excellent and the fact you can speak to and interact with the chefs really adds to the experience. The Camp is actually in the park so we felt we had been on a game drive by time we arrived. All facilities in the room and round Camp were excellent a fabulous place to stay perfect to relax between game drives we were so lucky to see so many amazing animals then enjoy the excellent hospitality at the camp. I would highly recommend a stay here Thanks to all the wonderful staff

  You get what you pay for. It’s not the dream Safari Lodge. It’s a commercial place to stay in the Mara that’s likely better than most. It’s a bit too large and they do not encourage contact with other guests or safari style guest interaction. If you’re traveling alone, you may find yourself isolated. They could do better by having group activities in the evening in the bar. There is a huge understandable gap between this lodge and the Ritz Carlton, but the cost reflects that. It is clean, safe, comfortable, well located in the Mara, has a pool. There are tons of animals within striking distance so it’s a good base . Meals are served buffet style,with a good selection. Tip ...request a room near the pool or you will be a long distance away, even though they will offer golf cart Service, it’s a trek.

  Our stay at Sarova Mara was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional—everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special mention to our private butler, Caroline, who took such good care of us and ensured that every little detail was perfectly handled. Her kindness and professionalism made our stay extra comfortable. The golf cart driver, Sordo, also deserves appreciation—always eager, cheerful, and available at any time to drive us around the property, making moving around effortless and enjoyable. Overall, Sarova Mara offers not just a beautiful location but a heartfelt experience through its people. We left with lovely memories and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Mara. 🌿✨
