  My experience at olkinyei mara tent was amazing. The location is literally right outside the talek gate and very convenient. The owner Joseph is really sweet and personally takes interest in the wellbeing of his guests. The staff is really nice and the food is also great. We had a great stay here. Totally worth it.

  We stayed for four nights and had an absolutely amazing experience. The lodge is perfectly located right at the gate of the national park, the rooms are luxurious, spotless, and the entire property is beautiful and very well maintained. The food was exceptional, true fine dining at a very high level. The chef even prepared special gluten-free and vegetarian meals for us, which we truly appreciated. The staff was outstanding: our ranger Dominik was fantastic on the game drives. A very special thank you to Sandra and Joseph, the owners – Joseph even helped us personally when we had a car breakdown, which went far beyond expectations. Daniel was an excellent and very attentive waiter, and Gilbert is a top manager on site who ensures everything runs perfectly. We are travelers from Germany and were truly impressed. An unforgettable safari experience – highly recommended!

  Olkinyei is truly an amazing place to stay. From the very beginning, the booking process was smooth and effortless. Sandra was incredibly helpful and made sure everything was perfectly arranged for us. The food was delicious throughout our stay, and our Luxury King Room tent was absolutely beautiful, comfortable and spacious The real highlight of Olkinyei, however, is without a doubt the staff. Alfred who took exceptional care of us during all our game drives. His knowledge, attention, and instinct for finding the best wildlife experiences were outstanding. Thanks to him, we witnessed some of the most beautiful animals and sunsets of our lives. Daniel who looked after us at the restaurant and made sure we were always well fed and well looked after. Duncan who took care of our camp and ensured we felt safe and comfortable at all times. And last but definitely not least, Joshua! Such an amazing, kind and funny person. Always helpful, always smiling, and full of energy. Our beloved waka waka boy! Thank you to the entire Olkinyei team for such a memorable experience. We will cherish it forever.

  We recently stayed at this lodge and there were several things we genuinely loved. The lodge was extremely clean, beautifully designed, and very modern. The service was also exceptional — the staff approached guests in a very personal and caring way, which we truly appreciated. Jef, in particular, went above and beyond to help us with everything, and the food was absolutely delicious. However, despite these positive points, we also experienced some serious concerns. We had two encounters with a very large baboon, and both times he tried to get into our tent. Since the tents cannot be locked, the baboon was able to open them easily. In one case, he actually got inside, and the same happened to other guests as well. During the second confrontation, I even had a panic attack because it was so frightening. For a lodge in this price range, we also found the drinks to be extremely overpriced compared to other lodges. We sincerely hope that the management will improve the tent security soon, because we did not feel safe — even though someone occasionally came by to chase the baboon away. Overall, there are many strong points, but also some important issues that need attention.

  I had an exceptional stay at this property. The facilities were excellent, and the tent itself was beautiful—spotlessly clean and equipped with every amenity I needed. It truly offered the perfect blend of nature and comfort. The location is also a big plus, being just a 2-minute walk from the safari gate. What made this experience even more memorable was the friendly and helpful staff. I was especially impressed by Jeff, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to assist and also Dunken was the same.Their warm hospitality really stood out. The food was another highlight of my stay—delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay close to nature.
