This is the most amazing place to stay in Kenya. The rooms are rustic but fantastic. I will never forget spending an afternoon watching a family of elephants from my window. Or the sight of what seemed like a 100 giraffes on a guided morning walk. The staff here are all exceptional. If you are thinking of going here, just do it.

It's a Paradise! You are surrounded with elephants, giraffe's, all kind of birds. It's a unique eco design, featuring the amazing strength of local trees. The fact that there are no windows give you a sense of freedom and connection to nature. The food is delicious and the Masai's are interesting to talk with and learn from. Asante Sana!

Big fan of this community-run lodge. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and informative. The pool is nice to cool off in during the day and the lodges offer great views of a very active watering hole. Game drive in the evening was fun. We did a bushwalk with two guides up one of the nearby hills. Joel, David and Moses were particularly helpful and friendly. Great 3 day excursion

Il Ngwesi eco-lodge is an exceptionnel and unique place. My husband and I were there for our 25th anniversary. The place is incredible, peaceful, gorgeous. The food is delicious. The people running the lodge, from guide to Chef, kitchen, service, drivers are exceptional. Their sense of community, their work to preserve their lifestyle and the lodge integrated to nature and its wilderness are incredible. We slept under the stars, showered outside, were guided to beautiful places. We could see girafes and elephants from our opened room. As a disabled person, every morning, a Masai would come get me, take my hand and help me walk the long way to the main house. We visited a village where we have been welcomed with singing and dancing and learned a lot about their simple and authentic way of life. We had breakfast under elephant trees! We had a real, peaceful time to rest, take it all in and enjoy it all. This place isn't like any other safari camps or lodges we've been to. Our last night was magical as the team danced and sang for us before bringing us a delicious cake for our anniversary. I can't say enough how magical Il Ngwesi and its people really are. Humanity, kindness, community at its purest. We felt home and wished we could have stayed there forever!
