  Marvellous place and wonderful people. Kevin and Gladys have organised and managed our stay perfectly. The guides - Jimmy, Francis, Patrick, Adrian and Denis - were more than generous in their teaching and made the safaris unforgettable moments. Stanley, Mike, Sam, Elizabeth, Adbi, Irene, Osman and all the rest of the staff could not have made our stay more comfortable and pleasurable. A sincere thank you to all of you.

  Exceptional ***** I travel all over the world and enjoy both boutique and 5-star resorts. Borana is different in the best possible way. The team lead by Tatiana is different Our guide Patrick is different The lodge, food and hospitality is as good it gets for a Safari lodge And in the end, The Borana Conservancy land and animals are up close and personal which you just can't get on public lands.

This isn't just a safari destination—it's a masterclass in how hospitality, conservation, sustainability, and authentic African wilderness should come together. The lodge is architecturally stunning, with grass hut roofs; it is built organically into the rock of a small mountain, creating an intimate connection with the landscape that feels both age-old and luxurious. Every suite offers privacy and breathtaking views as the sun rises over the conservancy. But the real soul of Borana is its people. The staff doesn't just serve; they genuinely care. You can feel the empowerment in every interaction, from warm morning greetings to thoughtful gestures that anticipate needs you didn't know you had. Speaking of which, Millie, the property manager, should be teaching case studies at hospitality schools worldwide. He didn't just show us animals—he helped us understand the intricate ecosystem we were fortunate enough to observe. If you're considering Borana, stop considering and start calling.   What an absolute privilege to spend a week horseback riding through borana. I was absolutely speechless when trying to explain to people back here in nz, what it was like. No words can explain the most incredible experience of my life. To Milli, John and all the incredible staff at borana who made my experience surreal, I owe you so much. I do hope I get to return one day soon, and enjoy once again what is a very special place.
