  Amazing place big spacious rooms clean toilets and shower hot water always available volleyball field people playing every day. Very social place value for money. It’s very peaceful and quiet neighbourhood but safe. Amazing staff specially Ali, the top Volunteer of all the hustles that I ever been he helped us with everything. Introduced us to everyone showed us everywhere organised karaoke and games! Very friendly and trustworthy!

  Best hostel I have ever stayed at. Everytime I pass through Nairobi I stay here again. Super calm and in a nice area within the city. The people working here are super helpful. The facilities are good. It's the best place to feel at home if you are away from home😁

  I stayed at Mad Vervet Hostel for two full months, and it was truly one of the best experiences of my entire journey. The place has a unique energy that makes you feel at home from the very first day. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is warm, social, and full of inspiring people from all over the world Beza and Daniel were absolutely amazing throughout my stay incredibly kind, supportive, and always ready to help. Their hospitality, guidance, and genuine care made a huge difference in my experience. I learned so much from them, felt supported every day, and left with unforgettable memories The location is perfect, close to restaurants, shops, and activities. There are plenty of things to do around, from exploring the neighborhood to joining group events and walking to nearby attractions. The hostel feels safe, welcoming, and full of life, making it an ideal place for both solo travelers and groups If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, community, and a wonderful atmosphere... Mad Vervet is the perfect choice. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area it became my second home

  Mad Vervet Nairobi Backpackers, located in Lavington, is a well secluded hostel that has a very quiet guard dog & an amazing security guard who is very kind & attentive. The gate is green & not labeled however, Google Maps takes you right there! Just ask around incase you get lost as well. From the moment you walk in, the greenery welcomes you. It's quite a large property, with well maintained lawns. They have a volleyball pitch & an amazing bench where guests can mingle with each other. Their rooms are decent and secure. Eunice is an amazing host. I met Ali as well. You get to meet so many amazing people from all over the world. Super amazing service. I highly recommend Mad Vervet to folks who really want great value for money.

  I stayed at Mad Vervet Hostel for 4 nights and honestly, it was one of the most memorable hostel experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone I met kept saying the same thing — Mad Vervet is the best hostel in Nairobi — and now I completely agree. First, I have to mention Ali Mohammed, He’s the heart of the hostel. Ali made me feel like family from the very first day, like I was his brother. He goes out of his way to mix people together, plan activities, and make sure everyone is socializing and having a good time. Ali, you’re superb — much love, bro! Then there’s Beza, the owner. She’s such a kind and welcoming person. She cooked me three fried eggs one morning (which I’ll never forget!) and she brews the best Ethiopian coffee I’ve ever tasted. There’s even a volleyball spot at the hostel, which adds to the fun and social vibe. The atmosphere here is unbeatable — if you’re into meeting new people, sharing stories, and enjoying a lively, friendly environment, this is the place to be. Even though there was a small miscommunication with Beza, I know I’ll be back at Mad Vervet next time I’m in Nairobi. I still owe her 584 KSH, so I guess that’s another reason to return! In short: Mad Vervet Hostel is more than just a place to stay — it’s a community, a vibe, and a memory-maker. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nairobi.
