  In the restaurant area they were hitting cats with sticks to keep them away from costumers. In the shop area a dude acted so friendly. “We are friends, please buy something, or not, we’ll be friends anyway and I’ll be happy” After we chose a couple of items he suggested a price so ridiculous we laughed. By this point we’ve traveled all around Kenya and know very well the prices. We haggled all the way down to the point we wanted. He agreed and his smile was gone, completely hostile and aggressive attitude. We grabbed our items and fled. Zero idea how to haggle these guys. They just want to take advantage of Americans.

  Don’t even waste your time here. It’s not a good faith business. The salesmen wanted $120 USD for a fridge magnet. I thought we were misinterpreting, but no, he actually wanted us to pay $120 for a magnet. I thought maybe this is just how we negotiate and eventually I would get him down to $10 or less, but nope, he was just trying to rip us off. What is worse is that our safari driver brought us here, so we assumed it would be a legit stop.
