  The buffet food is tasty and plentiful for 1300KSh would recommend for visitors! Coffee ok and Mandazi. Gift shop has nice stuff but expensive unless you bargain hard

  The buffet here was good with about six options for vegans. Make sure to specify what ingredients you can’t eat and they’ll direct you to some options. A bit touristy and directed here as part of a tour, so about $13 per person, but was still good!

  The shop was truly massive, with unique finds like hyenas and painted dogs. Be prepared to haggle! The best part for me was the attached “Kitchen African Taste” where I got to sample really excellent East African cuisine!

  MUST DO SHOPPING - FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY! Lovebird’s carries high quality, authentic inventory that has been hand crafted by local artists and all sales support the local communities. This is the very best place to find that perfect item to commemorate any African Safari or holiday experience. Service after the sale is superb and why I would give this place a 10 if I could. Two of the four items that we purchased and had shipped home, were damaged in transit. When I wrote of our misfortune, Paul responded to my e-mail immediately stating that the pieces would be replaced as soon as possible. Not only has our more expensive item been received promptly in perfect condition, but also arrangements have been made to carve us another item that we purchased as “last available” or to substitute a like item of our choice. Paul has been in constant contact providing pictures, measurements, etc. This is a first rate community store where the customer’s satisfaction for sales and service is their priority. No need to try others, this is the best! Update - we have received our last replacement piece from the folks at Lovebird’s souvenir shop and are extremely pleased. This is such a charming place with knowledgeable and reputable personnel. A pleasure doing business with them. And yes-the more you buy, the better deals you get. But honestly, the quality of service is well worth the price!
