  It's a junction in Mugirango South Sub-county, connecting major towns such as Kisii, Nyamira and Oyugis (paved with tarmarked roads). The dominant population in this place is composed of the Kisii, Luo and Kalenjin, respectively. Agriculture is the main economic activity. It is an upcomming market and promissing in food and livestock businesses. It has two market days- Wednesday and Saturday, Wednesday being the major market day. The market is in abundance of green bananas at very competitive prices. The down side is the insufficient residential settlement and availability of piped water.

  Is held every Wednesday starting as early as 4.00 A M it has variety of foodstuffs, new and second hand clothes, cattle goats and chickens which are sold at affordable prices. Not forgetting hotels and restaurants for delicious meals. The transport communication is accessible linking to KISII and Kisumu. The community is very friendly and loving. Please pay a visit and see by yourself.
