We both had green curries - prawn and chicken. The curries were pretty bad. Our stomachs didn't take the food so well. And the food was quite expensive, compared to some other restaurants with much better food in the neighbourhood (Kijani Roof Top Bar & Sea Souqh) for a much better price. Despite this, the place was packed, while those other venues were almost empty. Avoid.

Super location and most of all super food! Camembert Samosas are amazing! Waiters are very kind and professional. Thank you Peponi staff, we have had a super dinner here in Shela!

Beautiful location, delicious food, friendly and very helpful staff. Good cocktails, good wine, lots of sea side seating. More expensive but definitely worth the price. Best restaurant on Lamu island imho. We came here twice for dinner

Food came out super fast on a busy Sunday night. The food was delicious. The menu was quite large which can be overwhelming. I settled for some octopus curry that came with chapati but I ordered coconut rice on the side-super yum! The dessert was great as well, easy manageable portions that had you full. Amazing views over the water if you sit upstairs There are boats outside ready to take you back to wherever you stay
