Southern Vibes is a pure-vegetarian Indian restaurant on First Parklands Avenue, in the Parklands neighbourhood that is home to much of Nairobi's Indian dining. The menu is built around South Indian classics: crispy dosas, soft idlis with sambar, medu vada, uttapam and Andhra specialties, alongside biryani and paneer dishes. The signature is the Bahubali dosa, which the restaurant bills as the biggest dosa in Nairobi. The kitchen also serves a North Indian vegetarian menu: butter naan from the tandoor, roti, dal makhani, paneer butter masala and a rotating selection of vegetable curries. Everything on both menus is 100% vegetarian. Doors open at 8am, so Southern Vibes works for a South Indian breakfast of idli, vada and filter coffee as well as for lunch and dinner, every day until 10pm. The dining room is bright and casual with large tables that suit families and groups. It is run by Varus Investments Co. Ltd.
