  We are visiting Nairobi for about 2 weeks. Came to Open House after some recommendation from the locals. Ordered chicken makhanwala and chicken Kashmiri with different types of Naans and rotis. Loved the food. Staff were great as well. Deff recommend this place.

  Very nice indian Restaurant. Great food, nice view and good service. Can recommend the tandoori broccoli and chicken Tikka masala. But I think every food on the menu is good. Will definitely visit again and also has the option to order via Uber eats.

  A long time ago this place apparently used to be famous for larger portions and authentic, good quality Indian food. unfortunately, the place feels almost like a scam and I will explain why. first of all, for some weird reason they add v80 and catering levy, so this is 16 + 2 = 18% on top of the prices on the menu. granted, there is a line that explains this on the menu but the practise itself is anti-customer and not normal at all. in fact, as someone who has been dining in several countries including this one I have never seen something like this. it feels like a scam even if you know they are honest about it because you literally have to calculate your total which takes away from your dining experience. And speaking of dining experience I wish I could say something different but the rice was overcooked and watery, and the curry was average to good. unfortunately, the rice portion was extremely small, and the curry portion was on the lower to mid range. The only thing that I was positively surprised about was the Indian salad you got before the meal which was quite a few vegetables. The mango lassi was also good. just to put this into perspective, your food is about 50% or more expensive than in developed Western Europe. the furniture and atmosphere is dated, and even though they politely serve you face towels it feels more like a strategy to take away from the overpriced food than actually giving you a proper dining experience. overall regarding food quality I must say there are many better places in Nairobi that I within the same price range or more affordable. if you know how to make it Indian food is not difficult to make, and neither is it difficult to replace dated tables and uncomfortable chairs. service was also quite bad even though the poor guy who is the waiter is very friendly and seem to genuinely care but he doesn't actually understand proper English and I have to repeat things two or three times for him to understand, even though it was an enjoyable conversation because I was in a good mood. The thing is just that if you are not in a good mood you don't want to explain things three times. and this is not his fault this is fault of the management because they have not trained him properly in that regard. I was asked How the food was and I said the curry was okay but the rice wasn't And he proceeded to recommend to me that I should have taken the plain rice Which had nothing to do with the issue. overall I will not be coming back because I can make this dish better at home and I have seven times more of the food remaining. there's nothing about the ambience, because there is no real ambience, that would justify going there again. another thing I don't understand is why delivery is significantly more expensive than sit in at the actual restaurant. it makes no sense. if anything delivery should be more affordable like everywhere else as well. this just adds on to the overall feel. Kenyans, please get standards.

  A very good place for dinner dates, birthday parties and just rich indian food dinings. Spacious, well lit and delicious meals😘

  Open House is a great place to try Indian cuisine in town. They have a big menu with mant options for vegetarians as well. I enjoyed all dishes I tried. The tikka masala was amazing.
