  A lovely Italian restaurant, though a clear signboard would really help — especially for those using GPS, as it’s tucked inside Dhanjay Apartments. Nevertheless, the food more than made up for it! Prior booking is recommended, as the place tends to get quite busy. Ambience was excellent, inviting with soft background music that made the dining experience even more pleasant. The complimentary breads and butter — a signature at good Italian restaurants — were absolutely delightful: fresh, hot, and good enough to be a course on their own. What an appetiser! The owner and waitstaff were warm and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. I ordered the Cordon Bleu — a must-try if you enjoy blue cheese — and it truly lived up to the hype. The Ricotta with sage and butter sauce was buttery and fragrant with fresh sage, slightly on the dry side, but still delicious overall. The Pesto with basil sauce was a bit too dry for my liking, and the flavour was average. The highlight was the Tiramisu — the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The food pairs beautifully with a glass of wine. It was a really good birthday dinner, and I’d definitely come back again to try more of their Italian delicacies. 🍷🇮🇹

  My friends and I had a great time dining and trying the Italian food here. We tried the fettuccine bolognese, cannelloni, hot chocolate, and tiramisu. Everything was tasty and well-seasoned. To top it off, the ambiance was very romantic, relaxing, and perfect for a gathering. Highly recommend!

  Probably top 3 Italian restaurants in Nairobi. Brilliant food served with a very smiling waiter. Recommended and prices dont stick out to much.

  One of the grand old classics in Nairobi, around for more than two decades. La Salumeria has that subtle charm of a place that has stayed true to its style and class for a very long time. Everything on the menu is top notch, from the steaks, to the seafood, to the pasta. I particularly love their gorgonzola steak and their lobster pasta, though. They have a curated wine selection that stands out from most other places in Nairobi. Service is impeccable and the atmosphere is just to die for. I did write a review a couple of years ago that they had lost their old grandeur, when they were under a different management for some time. Rest assured, La Salumeria is back to its old heights!
