How Top Picks work
A Top Pick 2026 label on a BestKenya listing means the place has earned it from the people who have been there. Nobody can buy it.
The criteria
- A Google rating of 4.5 or higher.
- At least 200 Google reviews.
- The business is open and listed on BestKenya.
The ratings and review counts are Google's own, shown as Google ratings on every listing.
Refreshed monthly, not paid
Ratings change, so Top Picks are recalculated from fresh Google data about once a month. A place can gain or lose the label. Owners cannot pay to get it, keep it or move up, and a business we have a commercial relationship with is held to the same rules as any other.
How Sponsored is different
Some businesses pay for a featured placement at the top of a category page. Those listings are marked Sponsored in plain text. Sponsored says a business paid for the position; Top Pick says nothing about payment and is never for sale. A listing can carry both when it earns Top Pick on its own merits.
Top Pick badge for your website
Owners of Top Pick listings can add a matching badge to their own site from the owner dashboard. The badge only shows while the listing meets the criteria above.
