  Good restaurant and lots of good options for kids to play (playground, painting etc). Pool is quite small. Excellent place for walking or cycling with wildlife.

  I’ve been to Swara twice before and had a great time, but maybe it’s because those were short stays. This time I booked for three days and I’m honestly very disappointed. I don’t think I’ll ever come back or recommend it. We had to chase for hot water until midnight, only for the same problem to happen again in the morning. I had to wait for two hours for a shower while being pressured to go for breakfast before 9 am—even though I was up by 7 am trying to sort out the water issue. To make it worse, hot water is timed and switched off until 5 pm, which makes no sense when you’re paying premium rates. Breakfast was another letdown. The tea was watery, and when I asked the waiter why, she mentioned they’re instructed to use one packet of milk for more than five people, with strict rules to minimize ingredients. That may sound small, but it’s unacceptable when guests are paying good money. I can’t believe I left my own milk at home only to be served such poor-quality tea. Swara Acacia, you really need to style up. You charge a conservancy fee for every night on top of full board, yet the services do not match the cost. Guests deserve better.

  Last month, I had the most refreshing getaway at Swara Camp with my family, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about it. Just a short drive from Nairobi, this place feels like a whole different world ,peaceful, scenic, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who treated us more like old friends than guests. The check-in was smooth and easy, and within minutes we were taken to our tented rooms. Let me just say: these aren’t your ordinary tents. They’re spacious, clean, and designed with such a beautiful rustic vibe that makes you feel truly connected to nature, without missing out on comfort. Our tent had comfy beds, a private bathroom, and even a little outdoor seating area where we’d sip tea and watch the animals roam in the distance. What makes Swara Camp stand out is the wildlife experience. We saw zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and even ostriches right from the camp. We didn’t even need to go for a long game drive ,although we did, and it was totally worth it! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the experience both fun and educational, especially for the younger ones in the family. The food was another highlight. Every meal was freshly prepared and served with love. Whether it was breakfast with a view, or dinner under the stars, the atmosphere was always calm and relaxed. They were also very accommodating to dietary preferences, which made us feel even more cared for. One of my favorite moments was the sunset walk — golden skies, fresh air, and the sounds of nature all around. It reminded me how important it is to slow down sometimes and just be present. Swara gives you that space to unwind and connect,not just with nature, but also with yourself and your loved ones. If you’re someone who enjoys the outdoors, loves wildlife, and wants a break from city life without traveling too far, I’d honestly recommend Swara Camp. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or even going solo, it’s the kind of place that leaves a mark on you. It’s affordable, peaceful, and run by a team that truly understands hospitality. I left with a full heart, a clearer mind, and a phone full of photos and memories that I’ll treasure for a long time. Can’t wait to go back again, hopefully during the rainy season to see the landscape transform. Huge thank you to the Swara team for making us feel at home.

  Highly Disappointed — Not Worth the Drive! We drove all the way expecting a relaxing experience, only to be let down from the start. There was no variety on the menu, which was shocking for a place that markets itself as it does. We were told that there’s “more variety on weekends,” but sadly, we came during the week, something they should be transparent about upfront. To make matters worse, we were charged a conservancy fee, even though we never accessed the game park. According to the receptionist, even if you’re just there for a site visit, you still have to pay this fee just to get your gate pass stamped! Honestly, it felt like a cash grab with no clear justification. Overall, not a place I would recommend, especially on weekdays. Maybe weekends are better (as they claim), but this experience was a complete disappointment.

  Came in for accommodation but opted for a self-drive ride through the conservancy. Recommended to do the ride in the evening between 5pm and 7pm, when the sun goes down. It is a great ride for animal and bird lovers.
