  We loved this place! We saw so many rhinos, so many jackals, so many birds.... some of the best views of our travels. We also really loved our drivers and just talking to them everyday.... they made the trip. We also went to the Bomba to see the last 2 northern white rhinos which was the most amazing but humbling experience. To know what humans have done to this species is so sad and disappointing 😞

  We spent two nights at the Porini Rhino Camp with our family in the Family Tent, which is one large tent made up of two sleeping tents joined by a shared sitting area. The tents were amazing and much better than I expected. The food was great. The game drives were amazing. We saw lion, black and white rhino, giraffe, hyena, jackel, elephant, zebra, warthog, gazelle, impala, oryx, hippo, and much more. Our driver and guide were great and did a great job finding animals and putting me in a good position to get great images. The watering hole just outside the camp always had animals out there and the main dining tent always had a view of the animals out at the watering hole. Make no mistake, you are camping in a game park. However, the masai guards were always around after dark and we felt very safe but there was no getting around the fact that you were with the animals in their home. Bottom line is that I would go back in a heartbeat and hope that one day I can.

  Wow, wow, wow! I cannot say enough incredible things about this place. You are treated so well and taken care of in every aspect. The manager, David, took the time to learn our names and check in on us at every possible opportunity. The highlight of my trip were our drivers, Peter and Dickson who did an INCREDIBLE job tracking down the animals and taking us as close as possible to them. They truly went the extra mile to make our trip an amazing experience.

  DG and the entire staff at this camp make things extra special for travelers. There’s a watering hole for the animals 100m from the main tent, with a “hide” that allows you to get even closer for an amazing view. We want to express our deepest gratitude for the excellent experience they provided.

  This is a review of three Porini camps - Cheetah, Lion, and Rhino. We stayed 3 nights at each camp in late June 2023. We could not be happier with each camp and our decision to go to the conservancies with Gamewatchers. The staff and guides at each camp went way out of their way to make sure we had the trip of a lifetime. Only change I would make next time is to stay only 2 nights at Rhino. Cheetah and Lion in our opinion had more game overall but if you want to see rhinos, Rhino camp is the place. A special thanks to guides Ben and Jackson at Cheetah and Bill at Lion for amazing game drives and to John, Daniel and David the camp managers for all they did to make our trip exceptional. The Porini experience is the perfect balance of luxury and value.
