  I have enjoyed the hospitality of the camp for 4 night stay I have organized to enjoy a safari with my father. And it was, to all intents and purposes, truly memorable. I rarely give the full score but in this case I cannot really think of anything that went bad during the stay or things that the staff could have made to improve the experience. Well, the hippopotamuses in the river adjacent to our room were loud at night but this is not really something the staff could have controlled. To give a few random examples: we have been able to have our laundry done, properly and timely, in the middle of the savanna; the morning yogurt and fruit salad were unbelievably fresh; the bathtub in the tent came with very nice bath salts and we had a gym bike on the tent veranda.

  Absolutely loved this place! Shoutout to Catherine, Cate, Malingi, Rolex, Weldon, David, and everyone else whose name I forgot! The rooms are beautiful. The wildlife viewing was second to none (baby hyenas, hyena kills, jackal kills, cheetah, lions... the list goes on). The food was incredible (seriously, they could have their own eating safari). The staff is so incredibly kind and thoughtful. The only complaint I have is that it's about 20 hours of flying time away from me :( Highly recommend!

  Our trip was perfectly organised by Rustom @ Safari Nut. The itinerary was very carefully drafted for our family and Rustom work did not stop in organising the trip, but was always on during our stay, making sure that everything was dealt safely, smoothly and always professionally. Our only regret is that we have worked with SafariNut only recently. He suggested to experience the Masai Mara like never before staying at the Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains. It was our third time in the Mara (always with Safari Nut) and Being the camp a Relais & Chateaux our expectations were quite high from the beginning. The camp and the team truly exceeded our expectations. Mara Plains is a beautiful camp immersed in the vegetation of the savanna and our words can hardly do justice to its beauty and elegance. Probably one of the best properties in the African continent. The service was truly impeccable and we enjoyed every moment of our staying. The entire team was very friendly expecially with our kids. The quality of the meals and cocktails is at Michelin star level and Rolex that looked after us made memorable cocktails for the entire family. The camp positioning in the hearth of the conservancy was such that wild life was all around us, from Hippo and crocodiles in the stream that surrounds the Camp to lions and all the big fives just few steps outside. Our staying was truly as good as it gets and we cannot wait to return.

  Absolutely the best camp we have stayed in. Service is truly top notch! Everyone in the camp truly made us feel at home. Our waiter, William, was the friendliest and always taught us Swahili during our meal time. Food was absolutely delicious, and there were always a lot of options. We were always well-fed even during the game drives. Our guide, Malingi, was the best—very knowledgeable, always eager to show us the best wildlife and spend quality time with the animals. He knew that we wanted to take good photographs so he always made sure the car was at the prime position. Wildlife spotting was incredible! The interiors are absolutely tasteful and luxurious. The tent itself is very spacious and there is attention to detail in every aspect—there were different pillows to choose from based on preference, a calming bed spray, a hot compress to keep the bed warm.
