This is Lake Turkana at its rawest — no WiFi, limited electricity, and stars overhead instead of a ceiling. The German owner's been here since 2007, the lake is clean and croc-heavy (bring a guide), and rising water levels mean the place is holding on but still open. Go for the remoteness and the views, not the amenities.
