From a small kitesurf village on Bofa Beach to a full-on family of coastal experiences, Salty’s blends everything you love about Kilifi: a well-equipped kitesurf learning centre, tasteful & affordable stays, and a chilled beach bar and restaurant perched right on the sand. The food? 🌱 Fresh, flavoursome, and made with heart. We tried the chickpea curry (so punchy and comforting) and Swahili fish with rice — both full of colour and creativity.   Absolutely loved the experience. It's a barefoot beach restaurant. It is a perfect place to chill as you watch the ocean. It is kid and pet friendly. They have a playground for kids. It's is absolutely beautiful during the day. I didn't like the food not because it was not golf but I felt like it was not very coastal..I mean I can get the same food in Nairobi..although I really like their double patty beef burger and hibiscus lemonade.

  They have a small menu, which offers a delicious variety. We ordered the quesadillas first and they were fresh and delicious. We then ordered our main course, which took nearly two hours. When we questioned where our food was they just told us the kitchen was busy. The place falls apart when it gets busy. One member of staff tried to make us move because they wanted to muscle in a bigger group of people for lunch. Certainly felt like when the bigger groups came and more money. Smaller groups didn’t seem important in anyway. Disappointing angle on what is a decent place and nice food.
