About This Experience

Experience Rare, wild, exotic, captivating, hybrid dance, Nairobi’s outstanding cabaret shows among the expressions used when describing the Safari Cats Dancers and Acrobats. It is a kaleidoscope of colour, acrobatics and raw excitement. Safari Park Hotel Dinning Experience + Safari Cats Dancers Tour take you to the Safari Park Hotel located only 15 minutes from downtown Nairobi, you will have the unique opportunity to experience the fast pace of the city and escape back to the expanse and serenity of the hotel.

Detailed Description

Nairobi's evening culture operates in a register most visitors never access, and the Safari Park Hotel dinner show is the most polished version of that world. Gracepatt Ecotours Kenya runs this 4-hour evening experience at KES 16,125 — your guide collects you from your hotel at dusk and drives you 15 minutes from central Nairobi to the Safari Park Hotel's grounds, which feel designed to provide maximum contrast to the city you've just left. The Safari Cats Dancers and Acrobats have been performing at the Safari Park Hotel for decades. What they do is harder to categorise than most entertainment marketed under the banner of cultural performance — the choreography incorporates East African traditional dance forms alongside acrobatic sequences, costume work in saturated colour, and live percussion that occupies a territory somewhere between ritual and theatrical show. The energy is high and physical, the performers are clearly enjoying the crowd's response, and the production values reflect years of refinement rather than tourist-circuit improvisation. Thirty-one reviewers found the experience worth their evening in Nairobi; the show's reputation in the city's hospitality sector goes back a long time. Dinner runs alongside or before the main performance depending on the evening's schedule. The Safari Park Hotel's kitchen serves a spread that centres on Kenyan barbecue traditions — nyama choma, roast chicken, pilau rice, and accompaniments drawn from the Kenyan home cooking tradition — alongside international options that reflect the hotel's history as a destination for visiting delegations and diplomatic guests. The scale of the spread is deliberately generous, and the setting in the hotel's open-air restaurant, surrounded by landscaped gardens that insulate you from the city's ambient noise, makes the meal its own reason to come. Your guide handles pickup and drop-off, so you don't need to navigate Nairobi at night independently or arrange your own transport back from a location outside the central hotel district. The vehicle is private and the transfers are included in the KES 16,125 price. Alcoholic drinks are available at additional cost throughout the evening; the bar at Safari Park Hotel has the full range. This experience works best for people who want to engage with Nairobi's cultural life on its own terms rather than in a simplified tourist format. It's equally appropriate for business travellers with a free evening who want something specific rather than a generic restaurant dinner, for couples looking for an evening that requires no planning on their part, and for families with older children who can stay up for a late performance and appreciate what they're watching. Book through Gracepatt and the logistics from hotel to hotel are managed entirely.
