The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The service took a little while, but it was well worth the wait because every dish was delicious and freshly made. I’d definitely come back again!

One of the icons of Mombasa’s fine-dining scene and part of the acclaimed Tamarind Group. Expensive? Yes — but it more than makes up for it with its beautiful ambience and exceptionally delicious food. After all, fine dining isn’t an everyday affair, and when you’re on holiday, it’s worth it. We were served by Washington — who jokingly introduced himself as Denzel Washington 😊 — and he was excellent, offering spot-on recommendations for both food and drinks. Starters included the smoked carpaccio (smoked beef slices with fennel, cucumber, mango, pickled ginger, capers, and truffled avocado) and a comforting cream of tomato soup. For main courses, we ordered: • Catch of the day — grilled red snapper in a chilli garlic sauce, served with coconut rice • Seafood laksa — a generous and flavorful combination of lobster, prawns, crab, calamari, octopus, and fish in a coconut, ginger, galangal, and lime broth, also served with coconut rice • Grilled chicken breast — topped with the restaurant’s signature piri-piri butter or ukwaju sauce and served on creamed spinach Every dish was mouth-watering and beautifully executed. Everything paired perfectly with a glass of Argentinian Malbec (Septima Malbec), rounding off a truly memorable dining experience.

Really great sea food and service! Great view. The best restaurant we have been in Kenya. Italian wines are available.

We had booked for the dhow dinner a group of 4 friends dressed in white. We had a wonderful experience. The food was out of this world delicious, well presentable, the atmosphere great, service great. Boniface was a great and good server. The dawa wow, garlic bread and soup. Salad, main course, dessert and coffee and halau/halfway. This was a life time experience I will never forget. The band had great music we danced the night away. The dhow had patrons from different parts of the world. We got together and we danced sang and enjoyed ourselves. The crew were wonderful people. The captain introduced himself to the patrons, table by table. It was a beautiful and memorable evening. It was a 4hr dhow dinner tour. I will definitely came back.

The food did not live up to the view. I’m not saying the food was bad. It was just OK and at that price I expect more than OK. I tasted more garlic on the shrimp than the shrimp and I tasted no coconut in the rice now the view is gob, smacking beautiful specially if you can make it for the sunset so maybe I just recommend going to the bar and watching the sunset. The staff was very attentive and nice and the building is very beautiful but the view.!
