Tucked away laid-back spot for cold drinks and delicious grilled seafood, far off the tarmac and definitely off the beaten track. The beach is wonderful with no menu — just fresh fish and octopus with fries or ugali. Quite an adventure to reach as the road is destroyed, so bring patience and a strong back.

KES 4,800 for all-you-can-eat meat carved tableside with Maasai swords. Carnivore is touristy, overpriced by local standards, and absolutely worth doing once. Here's what to actually expect.
